Event round up
Last Friday we saw 35 women (and some babies!) descend on the studio for our Women's Wellness event. Claire Pacey, a women's health physio from Beyond Health, kicked off the show with a brilliantly informed talk about pelvic floor rehab, postpartum recovery and libido. She was followed by Jodie Abrahams, a nutritional therapist specialising in women's health, who told us everything we need to know about eating to balance hormones, managing middle age weight gain and beneficial supplements. Claire finished off with some fitness tips and ways to keep fighting fit, no matter what your age. There were delicious snacks, lots of laughs and plenty of camaraderie. Part two will follow with more of the same.
Yoga for Lifters was a success too and a real eye opener for many of the men taking part. With an emphasis on preparing the body for strength training and aiding recovery time, it was not just educational but challenging too. How we loved seeing all you strapping males melting into the floor in pigeon pose!
New kid on the block
Our latest TZ recruit is Mark Stanton, a strength and conditioning buff with a decade of personal training and sports performance coaching under his belt. He's also a corrective exercise specialist and level 3 sports massage therapist. Basically, whatever your fitness needs, Mark's your man - from weight loss and performance, to back pain and critical injury rehabilitation.
